Dad's Army Day!

Saturday 19th June will see a special unveiling of a Captain Mainwaring statue in Thetford where many of the Dad's Army episodes were filmed.This all ties in with a week of special events including the Dad's Army Comes home Stage Show, Dad's Army Tours and a special Croft and Perry day at Bressingham on Sunday 20th June.

Stars of the show, the Barmy Army Film Club and Dad's army appreciation Society are all expected to appear.

Dad's Army artwork up for auction

Artist Steve Lilly has donated a rare piece of original Dad's Army artwork to raise funds for the Captain Mainwaring statue appeal in conjunction with the Dad's Army museum at Thetford.

Raffle tickets to win the artwork (worth £950) are available from the museum, the museum website, by calling 07802 701911 or direct from Steve's website , at £5 each the raffle will be drawn on Saturday 19th June.
