Army Vicar Launches New Book At Bressingham!

Frank
Williams will be launching his ne autobiography "Vicar
to Dad's Army" at the Dad's Army Museum, Bressingham
on 16th October 2002 with a special performance of his recent
Night with the Stars tour in which he features with Syd
Little of Little and Large.

On Wednesday October 9th 2002, The Brookland Players will be presenting
an intimate evening With Frank Williams, the objective - listening
to and sometimes watching the unfolding highlights of Frank's
life in the theatre, film and TV.
Snapshots
of his favourite moments, the highs, lows and laughter, with a
chance to pose your own questions. An evening staged and presented
by the Brookland Players, winners of the 2002 Barnet Borough Drama
Festival.
The event
commences at 8.00pm and takes place at THE BULL THEATRE, 68 HIGH
STREET, BARNET, HERTS. Tickets are £6.00
Arthur
Lowe Evening Popular with BBC2 Viewers

BBC2's
Arthur Lowe evening which went out on September 21st seems to
have been a hit with viewers.
The evening
which featured an excellent "Reputations" documentary
on Arthur Lowe, repeats of "Don't Panic - The Dad's Army
Story" and "Is there Honey still for Tea?"
and culminated in a showing of the 1968 Lindsay Anderson movie
"If..." drew in 1.9 million viewers at it's evening
peak.
Veteran chat
show host Michael Parkinson took a tumble in the popularity stakes
with only 4m viewers watching his new series which began at the
time the Dad's Army episodes were been broadcast.

Dad's Army DVD Now Available!

Dad's
Army fan's will be pleased to learn that BBC Worldwide released
the second volume of the Very Best of Dad's Army on DVD on September
30th.
Featuring
the episodes No Spring For Frazer, Mum's Army, Menace
From The Deep, The Honourable Man and When Did you
Last See Your Money? , the DVD also contains an edited version
of the documentary "Don't Panic - The Dad's Army Story" as a bonus feature.
Available from most high street stores the DVD now sports a different
cover to the one illustrated but still featuring our Magnificent
Seven heroes!
