Dad's Army missing episode audio recovered

17th November 2008

BBC producer Paul Vanezis has located an off-air audio recording of the 1969 missing TV episode "A Stripe For Frazer". Perhaps the most important discovery since the recovery of the series two episodes "Operation Kilt" and "Battle Of Godfrey's Cottage" back in 2001 . The recording originates from a collector who recorded lots of audio in the late 1960s. Paul informs me that although the recording is good there is some interference part way through. Nevertheless this is an important discovery and raises hopes that the three missing television episodes are still out there somewhere.
